Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Fábio Ceresso started the match with the kick off. Luís Fábio Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Dias having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Cochinho got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Salles. Afonso Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Elano Madureira sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Vides during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Baturite EC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Marcus Vides hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Luís Fábio Ceresso made a precise shot to the right of Dedê Dias. Baturite EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Luís Fábio Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cochinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Ceresso couldn't finish the play. The Cochinho fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Cochinho's Luís Fábio Ceresso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dedê Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Fábio Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Luís Fábio Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baturite EC's Dedê Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Olavo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elano Madureira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Afonso Queiroz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Olavo Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dedê Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Cardozo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baturite EC's Dedê Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Severo in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Luís Fábio Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Fábio Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Dias having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Baturite EC's Erasmo Pirani got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luís Fábio Ceresso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dedê Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of Baturite EC booed when Cochinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dedê Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Alcântara in the 55th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fábio Ceresso got free with Dedê Dias in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geraldo Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Luís Fábio Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Cochinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Ceresso couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fábio Ceresso in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedê Dias saved Baturite EC from getting behind. In the 67th play minute Luís Fábio Ceresso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dedê Dias. 0-4. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baturite EC's goalkeeper Dedê Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Afonso Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Madureira in the 82nd minute of the match. Baturite EC's Dedê Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Baturite EC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Luís Fábio Ceresso fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 90 minutes, Olavo Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cochinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olavo Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Baturite EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. Cochinho's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
