Reduto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pendurao SC the free kick. After 17 played minutes Reduto got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Valle. Frédson Guerra struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Luiz Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reduto. Adhemar Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Luiz Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Reduto's Roger Pirani got a free kick in the 45th minute.
