But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro Pereira couldn't finish the play. When Humberto Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maniassu SS's protests and gave Humberto Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maniassu SS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Humberto Trancoso hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Alves in the 26th minute of play forced Nhunguagu FC's goalkeeper Agenor Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Valdomiro Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Reinaldo de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agenor Fernandes came out of the goal and Romeu Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agenor Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Romeu Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maniassu SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Maniassu SS booed when Nhunguagu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes Maniassu SS got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Trancoso. Reinaldo de Godoy was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 75 played minutes Maniassu SS got a freekick which was hit by Tales Rocha. A collision led to Maniassu SS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Marco Campidelis hit a great ball. Reinaldo de Godoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aloísio Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. If Romeu Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nhunguagu FC's Agenor Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Augusto Alves in the 84th minute of play. Aloísio Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo de Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Reinaldo de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
