Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Guayanazes's Olívio Pinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Tamarindo's Juan Loureiro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Guayanazes's Osmar Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiaguinho Senna in the 5th minute of play. After 7 minutes Guayanazes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rafael Marinho who took care of the corner kick. The long shot by Felipe Dracena in the 8th minute really tested Osmar Fernandez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Tiaguinho Senna took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Osmar Fernandez to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Guayanazes booed when Tamarindo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Augusto Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 26 played minutes Tamarindo got a freekick which was hit by Juan Loureiro. The supporters of Guayanazes booed when Tamarindo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renan Miranda didn't quite understand what happened when in the 29 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Guayanazes's Renan Miranda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tamarindo. Olívio Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Tamarindo's Hélio de Lara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osmar Fernandez. Osmar Fernandez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Samuel Motta hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Rafael Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamarindo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélio de Lara was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Tamarindo's Rafael Marinho got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute of the match, Betão Monteiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Augusto Dias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ernani Mendonça hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Hélio de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Tamarindo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio de Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute of the match Almir Azevedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Augusto Dias skillfully saved the ball. Hélio de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guayanazes's zone, Ernani Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Fernandez came out of the goal and Ernani Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélio de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Fernandez having to interfere. Tamarindo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
