RAFAMEIRAS's Esteban Salomone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donatello Santos in the 20th minute of play. In the 52nd minute, André Luiz de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ihum EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 62nd minute Caco Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Salomone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Ihum EC's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Pitta came free, but Ediberto Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Paulo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RAFAMEIRAS's supporters rose to their feet, but José Paulo Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ediberto Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Pitta in the 89th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Ihum EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RAFAMEIRAS:s goal. Chants of Ihum EC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as RAFAMEIRAS had held the ball for most of the match.
