Augusto Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio Guerra in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Bebeto Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Benê de Queiroz could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Augusto Guerra however easily saved by the left post. With 26 minutes on the clock, Elder de Andrade commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Irai EC! The referee gave Panon AD a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Fernando Silva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Irai EC's Augusto Guerra. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benê de Queiroz in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Rossi in the 61st minute of play. If Claudinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luís Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Irai EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Luís Fernando Silva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Guerra skillfully saved the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Panon AD's Benê de Queiroz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Benê de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Toscano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Claudinho Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Maidana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Panon AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Irai EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
