In the 13th minute Naldo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, El Patron Del Mal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Naldo Couto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Charles Prata fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Passos SC's protests and gave Charles Prata a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Passos SC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Charles Prata hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alfredão Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passos SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredão Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto Messias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredão Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Messias having to interfere. Lauro de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Viana having to interfere.
