Bruno Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Ferraz in the 5th minute of play. Durvalino Meireles came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bruno Garcia could save by the left post. Frank Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, Pintadinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Arantes to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Pintadinha's goal looked a bit too open when Mons Ter came free, but Acácio Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Breckenfeld having to interfere. Acácio Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio RS's Epifanio Cordeal. But to his dismay, Epifanio Cordeal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mons Ter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Breckenfeld having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Pintadinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleandro Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Frank Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Moura in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Acácio Breckenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Chico Hermes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pintadinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio RS the free kick. Frank Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Acácio Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mons Ter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Célio Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Grêmio RS's Frank Moura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Acácio Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pintadinha's Chico Hermes got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aleandro Britto was the one to do the kick off. Pintadinha were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Grêmio RS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. João Paulo Arantes took the corner. The corner led Pintadinha's João Paulo Arantes to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno Garcia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Mons Ter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Acácio Breckenfeld. Mons Ter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. If Mons Ter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Acácio Breckenfeld made a huge save. Chico Hermes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Mons Ter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Acácio Breckenfeld was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Acácio Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mons Ter in the 76th minute of the match. Frank Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Breckenfeld having to interfere. Frank Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Frank Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pintadinha's Acácio Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mons Ter in the 93rd minute of play.
