With an all-out effort, Taunay's Maurício Campidelis threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adelino Zilles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adelino Zilles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurício Campidelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Maurício Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Zilles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Taunay's Adelino Zilles got a free kick in the 17th minute. Paulinho Rossi scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurício Campidelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Taunay's Paulinho Rossi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurício Campidelis. Maurício Campidelis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Maurício Campidelis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adelino Zilles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 31 minute of play. Fernandinho Teles scored 3-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Adelino Zilles made the kick off in the second half. Adelino Zilles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurício Campidelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Adelino Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Maurício Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Taunay booed when Havai AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeu Hermes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurício Campidelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match Fausto Vander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurício Campidelis skillfully saved the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Taunay's Adelino Zilles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurício Campidelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Taunay's Paulinho Rossi got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulinho Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Campidelis having to interfere. In the 89thth minute of the game Adelino Zilles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Havai AD's Maurício Campidelis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Adelino Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taunay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Zilles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Paulinho Rossi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Maurício Campidelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Havai AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Taunay.
