Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Oséias Rossi kicked off to start the match. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Leonardo Moraes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Frederico Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Rezende during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bebeto Rezende hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nicolau getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gino Mandrak hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes Nicolau got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Moraes. Gerson de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oséias Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Edmundo Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerson de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséias Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Edmundo Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Nicolau's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Rossi came free, but Edmundo Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bebeto Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Edmundo Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Virgílio Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgílio Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Trigo having to interfere. Oséias Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Edmundo Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Nicolau were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

56 minutes into the game, Canavial's Gerson de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 61st minute, Leonardo Moraes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Trigo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Nicolau's Edmundo Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Rossi in the 71st minute of play. When Canavial's Gerson de Almeida in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nicolau's goalie prevented a goal. Gerson de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edmundo Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Loureiro came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Canavial's Gerson de Almeida. But to his dismay, Gerson de Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canavial had played much better football throughout.
