Jano Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Severo having to interfere. Almir Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Alex Bertassi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Almir Severo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of SCOPPIA FC booed when REMÉDIOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in REMÉDIOS's zone, Jano Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Severo came out of the goal and Jano Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, REMÉDIOS's Marcinho Pimenta threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dudu Donatello, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. REMÉDIOS's Almir Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Mattos in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Mattos in the 38th minute of play forced REMÉDIOS's goalkeeper Almir Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jano Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jano Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcinho Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Jânio Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Horácio Matorin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and REMÉDIOS's Almir Severo didn't even have to move. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Donatello was the one to do the kick off. In the 61stth minute of the game Dudu Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCOPPIA FC's Marcinho Pimenta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eusébio Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of REMÉDIOS booed when SCOPPIA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, REMÉDIOS's goalkeeper Almir Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Veiga. Almir Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, SCOPPIA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Donatello came free, but Marcinho Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Jano Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jano Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hortêncio Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SCOPPIA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Veiga couldn't finish the play. Almir Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over SCOPPIA FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than REMÉDIOS throughout the match.
