After 2 played minutes Bayer Enzo got a freekick which was hit by Manuel do Vale. A collision led to Bayer Enzo getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ramiro Gaúcho hit a great ball. If Dudu Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Vinícius Saraiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in REMÉDIOS's zone, Felipe da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Severo came out of the goal and Felipe da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes REMÉDIOS got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Abraão. Gino Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute of the match Bayer Enzo got a corner. REMÉDIOS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Amaral ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Bayer Enzo's Haroldo Veiga got control of the ball when Eusébio Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Dudu Donatello tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Haroldo Veiga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dudu Donatello during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gino Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Bayer Enzo's goalkeeper Haroldo Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Pombal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Donatello was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, REMÉDIOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Abraão to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of REMÉDIOS booed when Bayer Enzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gino Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Gino Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bayer Enzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almir Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, REMÉDIOS's Dudu Donatello got a free kick in the 71st minute. Gino Toscano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almir Severo having to make a save. Haroldo Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Almir Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gino Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Almir Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Bayer Enzo's Angelo Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Almir Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute Dudu Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
