A very good chance. A collision led to Canela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Walmir de Queirós hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Perrexil SC's zone, Nilton Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benê de Senna came out of the goal and Nilton Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Dedé Teles made the kick off in the second half. Perrexil SC's Dedé Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedé Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Garcia having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Leonel Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benê de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Mandrak got free with Geovani Garcia in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Mandraks short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Geovani Garcia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Lara in the 73rd minute of play forced Perrexil SC's goalkeeper Benê de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovani Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Abel Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilton Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê de Senna having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Perrexil SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Lara came free, but Benê de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Canela were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Perrexil SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rubinho Peres took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Leonel Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canela's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benê de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nilton Lara fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canela's protests and gave Nilton Lara a yellow card for diving instead. Nilton Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Canela had won after a very even match.
