The tension between the Mentirosos EC and the Caldeirao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luisinho Gerber hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Paulo Renato de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Renato de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Pirani having to interfere. If Fred Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovani Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovani Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Lucas in the 20th minute of play. Fred Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mentirosos EC's Raimundo Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Raimundo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Donatello Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caldeirao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 38 minutes into the game, Samuca Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mentirosos EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caldeirao the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mentirosos EC's Samuca Brodel got a free kick in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Mentirosos EC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato de Azevedo came free, but Giovani Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Renato de Azevedo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Noel Barros in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Álvaro Coutinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Lucas to strike the kick off in the second half. Valério Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Pirani having to interfere. Donatello Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donatello Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Caldeirao got a freekick which was hit by Donatello Pinho. When Paulo Renato de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Caldeirao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Renato de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Valério Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Caldeirao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Seco to maneuver through the defense. Noel Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Álvaro Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Giovani Pirani made a huge save. When the match was over Caldeirao could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mentirosos EC throughout the match.
