Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donatello Vianna in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Giuseppe Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murilo Maia in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Germano de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murilo Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Alberto Maranhense made a huge save. Giuseppe Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Júlio Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bilac's Germano de Alcântara in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 32 played minutes Anta SS got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Andrade. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Giuseppe Simões sped through Anta SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Moreira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano de Alcântara in the 37th minute of play forced Anta SS's goalkeeper Júlio Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Simões in the 39th minute of the match. Giuseppe Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano de Alcântara in the 42nd minute of play forced Anta SS's goalkeeper Júlio Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giuseppe Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Moreira having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Germano de Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Júlio Moreira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murilo Maia was the one to do the kick off. Giuseppe Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Moreira having to interfere. In the 58thth minute of the game Germano de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anta SS's Júlio Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Giuseppe Simões got a very nice opportunity to score, but Júlio Moreira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 64 minutes into the match, Bilac's Giuseppe Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio Moreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Germano de Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Moreira was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Luiz Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Luiz Luz came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Anta SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Luz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bilac getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Marcelo Mello hit a great ball. Murilo Maia struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alberto Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anta SS. In the 97th match minute, Anta SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho de Brito to maneuver through the defense. The Bilac players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
