The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juarês Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sancarbey Sufi in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Santos Dumont F.C. getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Donatello Souza hit a great ball. Blas Ado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Santos Dumont F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Israel Teofilio in the 22nd minute. In the 24th match minute, Santos Dumont F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sancarbey Sufi to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Edgard Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blas Ado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Campidelis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute of the match, Edgard Campidelis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Blas Ado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Remo Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Blas Ado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sancarbey Sufi to make the kick off. Remo Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Blas Ado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Dino Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Philadelphia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos Dumont F.C. the free kick. Dino Matorin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The long shot by Israel Teofilio in the 72nd minute really tested Juarês Lira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Philadelphia booed when Santos Dumont F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Remo Duarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blas Ado. Santos Dumont F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remo Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Blas Ado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Campidelis went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Remo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Philadelphia were the better team. Philadelphia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
