If Cauan Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cauan Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mucury SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauan Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauan Gomes in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Cunha saved Irara from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Carlos de Amaral during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Cauan Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauan Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Cauan Gomes struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ronaldo Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mucury SC. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandinho Velloso made a kick off. Francisco Carvalho hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Mucury SC's Rui Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Irara's goalkeeper Ronaldo Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Alves. If Artur Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mucury SC's Cauan Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cauan Alves struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ronaldo Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mucury SC. A collision led to Irara getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Oséias Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Cauan Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Mucury SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Cauan Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ronaldo Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cauan Alves in the 88th minute. When Cauan Alves came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Mucury SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Alves couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mucury SC booed when Irara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Vander, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
