Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maurício Mineiro got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Jabuticaba's goalkeeper William Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enio de Queirós. Luís Fábio Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fábio Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. William Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ronaldinho Soccer 97™. When Enio de Queirós, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The William Azevedo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Christian Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s zone, Maurício Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Senna came out of the goal and Maurício Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Enio de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustão Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ronaldinho Soccer 97™ booed when Jabuticaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s Enio de Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jabuticaba's William Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio de Queirós in the 24th minute of play. Lenílson Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Luís Fábio Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Enio de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Enio de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fábio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. William Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Enio de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fábio Dionísio was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Maurício Mineiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lenílson Senna. That made the score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. If Maurício Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lenílson Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Eduardo Braga in the 66th minute. William Azevedo came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s Enio de Queirós. But to his dismay, Enio de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 74 minutes into the match, Jabuticaba's goal looked a bit too open when Enio de Queirós came free, but William Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Azevedo came out of the goal and Luís Fábio Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Dionísio in the 91st minute of play forced Jabuticaba's goalkeeper William Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jabuticaba's zone, Enio de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Azevedo came out of the goal and Enio de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
