Ernesto Quadros hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Váldson Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jânio Rosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Váldson Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. Subaio AD's Jânio Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Abreu in the 8th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Mané Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mané Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Rosa having to interfere. The supporters of Ibiraja SS booed when Subaio AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Ibiraja SS's goal looked a bit too open when João Quaresma came free, but Abelardo Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute João Quaresma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Váldson Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, Subaio AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Quadros to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ibiraja SS defense, Severino Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Gaspar. The Ibiraja SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Gaspar should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Rony Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibiraja SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
