When Elói Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cubas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Cearense couldn't finish the play. Lustosa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Elói Cearense scored to the left of an out of position Rafa Jacinto, making the score, 1-0. Vitório Cosme came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rafa Jacinto could save by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Elói Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Cosme got free with Rafa Jacinto in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Cubas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Eger came free, but Túlio Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Cosme got free with Rafa Jacinto in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yuri Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Elói Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvaldo Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cubas FC booed when Lustosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eurico Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rafa Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Cearense in the 54th minute of play forced Lustosa's goalkeeper Rafa Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Elói Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eurico Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Anderson de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Lustosa's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Cearense came free, but Rafa Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Gerber couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Cubas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Eger came free, but Túlio Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói Cearense in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafa Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafa Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
