Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nelson Leme got the match started through his kick off. After 4 played minutes Prequicosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Senna. In the 6th minute, Clóvis Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilmar Braga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Clóvis Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gilmar Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Raphael Teles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilmar Braga. Prequicosa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raphael Teles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Prequicosa FC's Nilson Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilmar Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Agnaldo Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Braga having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Raphael Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Raphael Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Nelson Leme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mané Santos. That made the score 2-2 in the 35 minute of play. Mané Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Leme in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper Mané Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Leme came free, but Mané Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Couto hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Botafogo MZRJ got a freekick which was hit by Agenor Recife. After a defensive mix-up in Botafogo MZRJ's zone, José Maria Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Santos came out of the goal and José Maria Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agnaldo Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Couto got free with Gilmar Braga in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilian Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Raphael Teles struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gilmar Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo MZRJ. 62 minutes into the game, Wágner Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Mané Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Teles in the 68th minute of play forced Prequicosa FC's goalkeeper Gilmar Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Teles took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilmar Braga. Gilmar Braga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Teles in the 71st minute of play forced Prequicosa FC's goalkeeper Gilmar Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Agnaldo Sena sped through Prequicosa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilmar Braga. Mané Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Leme in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Clóvis Leite got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Giovanni Carneiro hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Agnaldo Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Raphael Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
