Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Agnaldo Sena started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Baixo FC booed when Botafogo MZRJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agenor Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's Raphael Teles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lenílson Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Baixo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Teles came free, but Roberto de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Baixo FC got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Tande. After having played for 22 minutes, Raphael Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Leite in the 25th minute of play forced Baixo FC's goalkeeper Roberto de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Raphael Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Clóvis Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto de Lara. Baixo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clóvis Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Júlio Salgado fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baixo FC's protests and gave Júlio Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Baixo FC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Salgado. If Clóvis Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Teles in the 42nd minute of the match. Botafogo MZRJ's Mané Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Botafogo MZRJ from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto de Lara was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Mathias Tande made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Botafogo MZRJ's Raphael Teles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto de Lara. That made the score 0-2 after 56 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Ricardo Couto took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Roberto de Lara to make any attempt to save it. After 64 minutes of play, Botafogo MZRJ's Clóvis Leite made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto de Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Baixo FC's zone, Raphael Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto de Lara came out of the goal and Raphael Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 69 in the game by Agnaldo Sena from a close distance when the talented Roberto de Lara managed to make a qualified save. Baixo FC's players were relieved. Mané Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Agnaldo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baixo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Agnaldo Sena scored to the left of an out of position Roberto de Lara, making the score, 0-5. When Ricardo Couto fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botafogo MZRJ's protests and gave Ricardo Couto a yellow card for diving instead. Mathias Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mané Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
