If Juninho Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesinha Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Marcinho Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Trombuca defense, Juninho Hermes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Álvaro da Rocha. The Trombuca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Álvaro da Rocha should have stopped the shot. After 18 minutes of play, Trombuca's Cesinha Seco made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcinho Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Trombuca's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Hermes came free, but Álvaro da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rondon FC's zone, Cesinha Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcinho Cavalcante came out of the goal and Cesinha Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trombuca's Alex Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juninho Hermes made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percy Rezende during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Trombuca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Trombuca's Álvaro da Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Trombuca from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Rondon FC's zone, Alex Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Cavalcante having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Cesinha Seco made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rondon FC's Marcinho Cavalcante tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Trombuca's Álvaro Torres got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 74 played minutes Rondon FC got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Galvão. Alex Paraibano scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcinho Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Fernandinho Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro da Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Arantes in the 89th minute. Cesinha Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Marcinho Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
