Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Trombuca's Alex Paraibano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Augusto do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Paraibano went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Álvaro Torres fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trombuca's protests and gave Álvaro Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. José Augusto do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Cesinha Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Cesinha Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trombuca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 37 minutes of play, Aranhas's Edson de Lima made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álvaro da Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Seco in the 44th minute of play forced Aranhas's goalkeeper José Augusto do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, one of Trombuca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Trombuca. Trombuca:s Álvaro da Rocha showed great skill when he stopped Laércio Matos:s penalty. After 50 minutes Trombuca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Laércio Matos who took care of the corner kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guga Santana to strike the kick off in the second half. Álvaro da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson de Lima in the 54th minute of play. Edson de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro da Rocha having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Guga Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aranhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aranhas's goalkeeper José Augusto do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Trombuca getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Laércio Aguiar hit a great ball. José Augusto do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Edson de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Edson de Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guga Santana struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Álvaro da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aranhas. Edson de Lima scored 2-2 in the 102nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro da Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
