Geovânio Garcia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amadeu de Toledo. 1-2. Amadeu de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Sydney Saldanha charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Saldanha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Sydney Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Jacuipe FC's goal looked a bit too open when William Paraense came free, but Amadeu de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Marinho in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeu de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Raphael de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrique Sabóia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Douglas Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Douglas Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Araújo having to interfere. Jacuipe FC's Amadeu de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Sabóia in the 90th minute of play. Amadeu de Toledo was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Henrique Sabóia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henrique Sabóia really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. William Paraense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Amadeu de Toledo made a huge save.
