With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdir Fernandez in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gláuber Correia saved Nacional SC from getting behind. Sidnei da Silvas short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Gláuber Correia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sidnei da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gláuber Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Floreal booed when Nacional SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gláuber Correia made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Valdir Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Nacional SC's Gláuber Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Fernandez in the 19th minute of play. Valdir Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Correia having to interfere. A collision led to Floreal getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hílton de Alcântara hit a great ball. Nacional SC's Gláuber Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Fernandez in the 28th minute of play. Sidnei da Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gláuber Correia firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nacional SC's Gláuber Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Nacional SC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Valdir Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Nacional SC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Peres. The Floreal fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Floreal's Valdir Fernandez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
