The Corguinho EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Gláuber Correia came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Corguinho EC's Fernando Galvão. But to his dismay, Fernando Galvão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When Natã Peres came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Nacional SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Fernando Galvão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nacional SC's Gláuber Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Corguinho EC's Andrézinho de Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gláuber Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Fernando Galvão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gláuber Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Digo Perez struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Gláuber Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corguinho EC. Fernando Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Correia having to interfere. If Andrézinho de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Galvão's late challenge caught a Nacional SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 49th match minute, Corguinho EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Galvão to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Galvão made a kick off. In the 58th minute Fernando Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Corguinho EC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Corguinho EC's Fernando Galvão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Gláuber Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
