Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rubens Bueno started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Pirani during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sport Recife getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Joaquim Pirani hit a great ball. Renatinho Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Bueno in the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, Lamacre EC's Pedro Paulo da Silva got control of the ball when Joaquim Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Joaquim Pirani got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joaquim Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pedro Paulo da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 11 minutes, Cláudio Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lamacre EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Betinho Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Pedro Paulo da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Pirani got free with Pedro Paulo da Silva in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 20 in the game by Joaquim Pirani from a close distance when the talented Pedro Paulo da Silva managed to make a qualified save. Lamacre EC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Recife's zone, Cláudio Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renatinho Recife came out of the goal and Cláudio Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Betinho Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pedro Paulo da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Furtado in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renatinho Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Betinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Joaquim Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Paulo da Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Betinho Pombal made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Pombal in the 53rd minute of play forced Lamacre EC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Recife having to interfere. Cláudio Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Renatinho Recife made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubens Bueno in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renatinho Recife saved Sport Recife from getting behind. Betinho Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo da Silva having to interfere. Pedro Paulo da Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Pombal's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. If Rubens Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Cláudio Furtado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lamacre EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Pedro Paulo da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Pombal in the 85th minute of the match. Joaquim Pirani scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Joaquim Pirani notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Lamacre EC's Pedro Paulo da Silva. Pedro Paulo da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Sport Recife players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
