In the 15th play minute Teodoro Xavier came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rogério Seco. 1-0. In the 22nd minute Caetano Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Rogério Seco made a huge save. The Comercinho EC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Comercinho EC's Teodoro Xavier looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Comercinho EC's Teodoro Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodriguinho Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Teodoro Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Caetano Gerber put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rogério Seco. In the 73rd minute, Caetano Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Seco. Macacu SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Teodoro Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Comercinho EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Comercinho EC's Caetano Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
