Humberto Vidal started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Manoel Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmelas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.A.DUARTE the free kick. The supporters of A.A.DUARTE booed when Palmelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Enol struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Paulo Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.A.DUARTE. Ovidio Enol might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Pimenta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Enol ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute, Gilberto Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vânderson Ferreira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rômulo Pinheiro. Walmir Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Vânderson Ferreira made a huge save. Walmir Campidelis came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vânderson Ferreira could save by the left post. Humberto Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vânderson Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manoel Prestes in the 31st minute. A.A.DUARTE's Ovidio Enol got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gilberto Severo fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A.DUARTE's protests and gave Gilberto Severo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, A.A.DUARTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Severo to maneuver through the defense. Palmelas's Rômulo Pinheiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vânderson Ferreira but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ovidio Enol managed to get in a good position for a shot. The A.A.DUARTE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 45 minutes into the match, Palmelas's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Enol came free, but Paulo Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.A.DUARTE were furious when Cleto Cloyo was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of A.A.DUARTE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palmelas:s goal. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Palmelas. The wind increased when Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Zonta in the 58th minute of play forced A.A.DUARTE's goalkeeper Vânderson Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Zonta in the 64th minute of play forced A.A.DUARTE's goalkeeper Vânderson Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Pinheiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vânderson Ferreira. A.A.DUARTE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vânderson Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Campidelis in the 78th minute of the match. If Ovidio Enol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd match minute, A.A.DUARTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Guga Ferraz hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Cesinha Nóbrega shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vânderson Ferreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palmelas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! When Ovidio Enol came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the A.A.DUARTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Enol couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Campidelis in the 102nd minute of play forced A.A.DUARTE's goalkeeper Vânderson Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. A.A.DUARTE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
