CRUZEIRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Carneiro made a kick off. Cornicha SC's Giovani Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho da Silveira in the 52nd minute of play. Ernesto Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tales Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Tepedino having to interfere. Tales Recife scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovani Tepedino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovani Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Recife in the 64th minute of play. CRUZEIRO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
