Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Saraiva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Equador's Ramiro Romero. Ramiro Romero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Zé Augusto Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEARÁ SPORTING CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Augusto Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Zé Augusto Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Romero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Anderson Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ramiro Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anderson Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anderson Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CEARÁ SPORTING CLUB's Anderson Hoffmann got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Zé Augusto Saraiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Equador's Ramiro Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Equador got a freekick which was hit by Armando Lopez.

59 minutes into the match, Equador's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Saraiva came free, but Ramiro Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Allan Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Equador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leopoldo Pombal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Zé Augusto Saraiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro Romero was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. If Leopoldo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th match minute, Equador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Simão to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Zé Augusto Saraiva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ramiro Romero. The goal made the score 0-3. Zé Augusto Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd match minute, CEARÁ SPORTING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Toledo to maneuver through the defense. If Zé Augusto Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute of the match Carlos Eduardo Marques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Romero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on CEARÁ SPORTING CLUB's corner José Maria Gerber fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ramiro Romero quite easily take care of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Equador's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Saraiva came free, but Ramiro Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Pombal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Ramiro Romero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Equador getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Armando Lopez hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Equador's zone, Zé Augusto Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Romero came out of the goal and Zé Augusto Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CEARÁ SPORTING CLUB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
