Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eurico Esteves started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Maceio fc's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório de Castro came free, but Frederico de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 minutes, Evandro Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maceio fc and the Caboclinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maceio fc's Evandro Branco got a free kick in the 5th minute. Mateus Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Secco having to interfere. Albertino Leão scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Secco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maceio fc's Frederico de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Prestes in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Caboclinho getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Régis Loureiro hit a great ball. Albertino Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denílson Secco. Caboclinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frederico de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Esteves in the 28th minute of the match. Frederico de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Prestes in the 31st minute of play. After 34 played minutes Caboclinho got a freekick which was hit by Vitório de Castro. 40 minutes into the game, Elói Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caboclinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maceio fc the free kick. The supporters of Maceio fc booed when Caboclinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Albertino Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denílson Secco was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Denílson Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertino Leão's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Caboclinho defense, Albertino Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denílson Secco. The Caboclinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denílson Secco should have stopped the shot. Evandro Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Caboclinho's Frederico de Andrade threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eurico Esteves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Frederico de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Soares in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertino Leão in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 77 minutes into the match, Caboclinho's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Leão came free, but Denílson Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Horácio Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vitório de Castro's late challenge caught a Maceio fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitório de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Vitório de Castro hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Denílson Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertino Leão's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Caboclinho's zone, Gilbert Gondela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Secco came out of the goal and Gilbert Gondela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
