Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hílton Diniz got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Filadeli booed when Mataripe SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hílton Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Geraldo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mataripe SS booed when Filadeli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuca Mello hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Filadeli's zone, Anselmo Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Tróia came out of the goal and Anselmo Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute Gustavo Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geraldo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Diniz in the 17th minute of play. Joel Tassos short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Válter Tróia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 25 minutes, Hílton Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Filadeli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gustavo Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuca Mello's late challenge caught a Mataripe SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Mello helped the player get up and apologised. Samuca Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Anselmo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Válter Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Tróia made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Joel Tasso sent off a good shot on target. After 41 played minutes Filadeli got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Berger. The long shot by Sidnei Meirelles in the 42nd minute really tested Válter Tróia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Anselmo Freire made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Hílton Diniz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geraldo Alves. Hílton Diniz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After having played for 55 minutes, Anselmo Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataripe SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Anselmo Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mataripe SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Válter Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Tasso in the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Joel Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Válter Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mataripe SS getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Lucas Godoi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Freire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter Tróia was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Joel Tasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Válter Tróia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Tasso ran back to his position shaking his head. Mataripe SS were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
