Abel Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Edmílson de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Marcel Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Giovani Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O Líder das Excursões. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cristian Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmílson de Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Patrick Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the O Líder das Excursões fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Paraíba couldn't finish the play. Marcel Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Abel Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Schmidt during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for O Líder das Excursões! In the 25th minute, Cristiano Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Edmílson de Lima. O Líder das Excursões's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Edmílson de Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Cabral's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. If Cristian Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Paraíba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovani Arce having to make a save. Tabu SC's Giovani Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Paraíba in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Patrick Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Paraíba made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, O Líder das Excursões's goalkeeper Edmílson de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Cabral. Edmílson de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Tabu SC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Tinoco. Patrick Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Arce having to interfere. Giovani Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes O Líder das Excursões got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Vinhas. 65 minutes into the match, O Líder das Excursões's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Ribeiro came free, but Edmílson de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. O Líder das Excursões's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabu SC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Luís Eduardo Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tabu SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
