Edgard Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Rodrigues in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Rio Preto F. C.'s goalkeeper Luís Paulo Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisinho Campidelis. Bonita SS's Edgard Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís dos Santos in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match, Alexandre Netto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luís Paulo Leme saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Araújo in the 39th minute of play forced Rio Preto F. C.'s goalkeeper Luís Paulo Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Luisinho Campidelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
