An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Moreno in the 15th minute of play forced Caranaiba SS's goalkeeper Rafa Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Moreno in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Paraense saved Caranaiba SS from getting behind. Vivaldo Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 minutes, Zé Paulo da Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cotia and the Caranaiba SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Paulo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Caranaiba SS's Carlos Costa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zé Paulo da Cunha was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. After a rather tough play, Cotia's Zé Paulo da Cunha got a free kick in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Cotia's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Almeida came free, but César Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ezequiel Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caranaiba SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Almeida in the 70th minute of play forced Cotia's goalkeeper César Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cacá Nunes hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Renatinho Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
