Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ezequiel Almeida made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Nico Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafa Paraense was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 13 played minutes Ezequiel Almeida rounded Rio Preto F. C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. André Luís dos Santos's late challenge caught a Caranaiba SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Luís dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, André Luís dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rio Preto F. C.'s Luís Paulo Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Preto F. C. from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Rio Preto F. C.'s goalkeeper Luís Paulo Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renatinho Viana. 28 minutes into the game, André Luís dos Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rafa Paraense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafa Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís dos Santos in the 33rd minute of play. Rafa Paraense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luís dos Santos went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 38thth minute of the game Nico Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caranaiba SS's Rafa Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hamílton Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Luís Paulo Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nico Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Patrick Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafa Paraense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nico Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. If Hamílton Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Caranaiba SS's zone, Nico Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Paraense came out of the goal and Nico Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nico Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Rio Preto F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Luís Paulo Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Viana in the 66th minute of the match. Ezequiel Almeida hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Nico Rodrigues put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Rafa Paraense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Viana in the 78th minute of play forced Rio Preto F. C.'s goalkeeper Luís Paulo Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Vasconcelos during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hamílton Abreu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Renatinho Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 94 in the game by Nico Rodrigues from a close distance when the talented Rafa Paraense managed to make a qualified save. Caranaiba SS's players were relieved. Nico Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafa Paraense having to make a save. Rio Preto F. C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
