Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Osvaldinho Ortiz kicked off to start the match. With his leg Gilson Barreto managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Lava Jato's Osvaldinho Ortiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 7th match minute, Vassourinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Macedo to maneuver through the defense. If Abelardo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lava Jato's goalkeeper Inácio Campidelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Abelardo Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Inácio Campidelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute, Osvaldinho Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Vassourinha defense, Anderson Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilson Barreto. The Vassourinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Barreto should have stopped the shot. Anderson Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gilson Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Tinoco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd match minute, Vassourinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Neto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lava Jato's Anderson Salles got a free kick in the 67th minute. Lava Jato's Anderson Salles quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Patrício Bezerra, made in the 71st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldinho Ortiz in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilson Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldinho Ortiz in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilson Barreto saved Vassourinha from getting behind. Anderson Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Barreto having to interfere. Gilson Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrício Bezerra during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lava Jato booed when Vassourinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrício Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarbas Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gilson Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Lava Jato's Cipriano Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilson Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Lava Jato players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
