Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luisão Varela took the kick off in the first half of the match. Betão Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Chiquinho Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aricaria's protests and gave Chiquinho Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. Betão Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Leal having to interfere. Betão Cearense took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Alberto Leal. Carlos Alberto Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Betão Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Carlos Alberto Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the match, Mucujo's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Abraão came free, but Dino Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mucujo's Edgar Prata got a free kick in the 26th minute. Baltazar Nóbrega scored 1-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dino Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Aricaria's Dino Tavares threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guga Abraão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 31 played minutes Mucujo got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Prata. Aricaria's Guga Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baltazar Nóbrega's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Dino Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Guga Abraão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Mucujo's Dino Tavares got control of the ball when Baltazar Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mucujo's zone, Guga Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Tavares came out of the goal and Guga Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Aricaria players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mucujo were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guga Abraão to make the kick off. With a little luck, Aricaria's Carlos Alberto Leal got control of the ball when Betão Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Aricaria's Baltazar Nóbrega sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabrício Trancoso's late challenge caught a Mucujo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício Trancoso helped the player get up and apologised. If Baltazar Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltazar Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Tavares having to interfere. A collision led to Aricaria getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. David de Souza hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Guga Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Guga Abraão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dino Tavares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dino Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Aricaria's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betão Cearense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
