Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Magno Seco started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Flamengo's Magno Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doriva Amorim. Doriva Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Magno Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Magno Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Amorim having to interfere. With a little luck, Vendinha's Doriva Amorim got control of the ball when João Paulo Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Vendinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Salgado to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Pedro Paulo de Brito got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Luizinho Secco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Flamengo's Fabinho de Senna didn't even have to move. If Magno Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vendinha getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Marcus Gerber hit a great ball. Doriva Amorim was a little too slow when Magno Seco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 43rd match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur de Lara to maneuver through the defense. João Paulo Moura who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Doriva Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Doriva Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magno Seco's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Flamengo's Geovani Linhares got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Geovani Linhares off the ground. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Geovani Linhares hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carlos Sena during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cássio Sousa in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabinho de Senna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, João Paulo Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If João Paulo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flamengo's João Carlos Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Paulo Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, João Paulo Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Carlos Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vendinha's zone, João Adolfo Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Amorim came out of the goal and João Adolfo Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franklin Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franklin Salgado hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, João Paulo Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabinho de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Valladares in the 88th minute of play. Tiaguinho Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Moura in the 99th minute of play forced Vendinha's goalkeeper Doriva Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
