Botuquara's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Cássio Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Doriva Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 78th minute Tiaguinho Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiko Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee showed Tiaguinho Valladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agenor Vides, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Botuquara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
