Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Waldemar Fernandez started the match with the kick off. Magno Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Evandro Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Evandro Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Toniolo's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Seco came free, but Evandro Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Flamengo's Magno Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evandro Mattos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Carlos Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo's zone, Antônio Carlos Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho de Senna came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Pedro Paulo de Brito put in a rough tackle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas de Brito during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicolas de Brito hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Waldemar Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabinho de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. João Paulo Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Evandro Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Moura in the 42nd minute of play forced Toniolo's goalkeeper Evandro Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Seco's late challenge caught a Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho Seco helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Toniolo got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Seco. 47 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toniolo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Alexsandro Gerber got a free kick in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when João Paulo Moura made the kick off in the second half. Antônio Carlos Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho de Senna having to interfere. Flamengo's Fabinho de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Fernandez in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Waldemar Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fabinho de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, Antônio Carlos Jacinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toniolo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. João Paulo Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Mattos having to interfere. João Paulo Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Evandro Mattos made a huge save. Toniolo's Evandro Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Toniolo from getting a goal against them. If João Paulo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói Dantas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. João Paulo Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When João Carlos Sena came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Flamengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Carlos Sena couldn't finish the play. João Paulo Moura's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Evandro Mattos firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Flamengo defense, Waldemar Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabinho de Senna. The Flamengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabinho de Senna should have stopped the shot. Flamengo's João Paulo Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
