The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Azevedo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basílio Azevedo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Rodiador SS. Juarês Tasso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Orlando Matos. 0-1. Rodiador SS's Décio Seco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Rodiador SS from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Rodiador SS's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Cordeiro came free, but Décio Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Rodiador SS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Zé Paulo Paraíba hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes, Taubate FC's Evandro Meirelles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Décio Seco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taubate FC reached it. Orlando Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodiador SS's Vitório Lopes, in the 32nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Rodiador SS. In the 37th minute, Maurinho Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurinho Eger in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 42 minutes, Vitório Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodiador SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Rodiador SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Percy Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Seco having to interfere. Maurinho Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Orlando Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Matos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taubate FC's zone, Vitório Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Matos came out of the goal and Vitório Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurinho Eger came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Orlando Matos could save by the left post. After 65 played minutes Taubate FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Meirelles. Diguinho Neiva hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Orlando Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitório Lopes's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the game, one of Rodiador SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Taubate FC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Samuel Bueno, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rodiador SS's Décio Seco. 1-1. After 79 played minutes Taubate FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Passos. When Rodiador SS's Vitório Lopes, in the 80th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Rodiador SS. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurinho Eger got free with Orlando Matos in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodiador SS were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Taubate FC to leave the ground with a draw.
