Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Adhemar Bastos got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Trancoso in the 5th minute of play forced Evaristo's goalkeeper Christiano de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Conrado Araújo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Evaristo's Christiano de Medeiros. Christiano de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute, Tião Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christiano de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Christiano de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Trancoso in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Trancoso in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Mucuri's Tião Porto in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Evaristo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute Tião Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tião Trancoso took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiano de Medeiros. Christiano de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tião Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. Joélson Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tião Porto in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christiano de Medeiros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Evaristo were furious when Joélson Mendonça was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 1-4 came through a penalty shot after 74 played minutes, when Mucuri:s Remo Ferraz calmly waited for Evaristo:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. After 80 minutes, Amadeu Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evaristo and the Mucuri players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mucuri's Remo Ferraz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Geovanni Urbano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Eduardo Pires. Mucuri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanni Urbano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. If Tião Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Urbano in the 89th minute of play forced Mucuri's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizinho Dantas got free with Christiano de Medeiros in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 96 minutes, Tião Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mucuri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute, Tião Porto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mucuri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Mucuri played a much better game than Evaristo and deserved their victory. The Evaristo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
