Benê Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válbson Valladares hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Tony Andrade succeeded in the game's 15th minute to get real power on a long shot . Rosapolis SS's Jarbas Linares hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! After 18th play minutes Tony Andrade shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jarbas Linares and just under the crossbar into goal. Marco Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rosapolis SS's Marco Gaspar got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Grêmio Olegarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Toledo to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Carlos Augusto Faria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benê Rosa skillfully saved the ball. Jarbas Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chiquinho Moraes in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, César Toledo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jarbas Linares, 4-0. In the 33rd minute, Mauro Baiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosapolis SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Dinei da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosapolis SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 42 minutes, César Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rosapolis SS's zone, Chiquinho Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Linares came out of the goal and Chiquinho Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute Chiquinho Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Linares having to interfere. Tony Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarbas Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. César Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas Linares having to make a save. Benê Rosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Baiano in the 60th minute. Tony Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jarbas Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Fausto Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Olegarense's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Rosapolis SS's zone, César Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 76th minute, Luiz Fabiano Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rosapolis SS's Jarbas Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Andrade in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano Urbano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosapolis SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Olegarense the free kick. Luiz Fabiano Urbano hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Grêmio Olegarense fully deserved thier win.
