In the 5th minute, VARZEA's Renato Sabóia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benê Rosa. Benê Rosa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Renato Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Benê Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, VARZEA's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Simão came free, but Eeng Hermawan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Andrade in the 12th minute of play forced VARZEA's goalkeeper Eeng Hermawan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Toledo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Sabóia in the 17th minute of play forced Grêmio Olegarense's goalkeeper Benê Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eeng Hermawan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, César Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Olegarense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 35th minute, Fausto Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VARZEA's Eeng Hermawan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Moraes in the 38th minute of play. If Renato Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato Sabóia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VARZEA! In the 54th minute of the game, Grêmio Olegarense got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Claudinho Simão in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by VARZEA's João Paulo dos Santos. After a rather tough play, VARZEA's Clóvis Queirós got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, VARZEA's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Pimenta came free, but Eeng Hermawan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eeng Hermawan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Toledo in the 72nd minute of the match. VARZEA's Eeng Hermawan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save VARZEA from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, VARZEA's Renato Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benê Rosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Tony Andrade kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eeng Hermawan. That made the score 1-3 in the 78 minute of play. Eeng Hermawan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Pimenta in the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Olegarense's César Toledo got a free kick in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Andrade in the 94th minute of play forced VARZEA's goalkeeper Eeng Hermawan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Toledo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 95th playminute.
