But to his dismay, Karol Panasewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 7 minutes, Karol Panasewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Mountain State's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karol Panasewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Sharma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Karol Panasewicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 23rd minute of play. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Blue Mountain State's goalie and right to Luis Cazalla. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Blue Mountain State's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Axel Montenegro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of Colombia booed when Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epigonoi Honjas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 32nd minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Sharma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karol Panasewicz to make the kick off. Karol Panasewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rıfat Tanır during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Antonio Indiano got a free kick in the 65th minute. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luis Vázquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Luis Vázquez made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Luis Vázquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Vázquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luis Vázquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 88 minute of play. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Epigonoi Honjas, made in the 91st minute of the game. Abram Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Sharma having to interfere. Luis Vázquez took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Blue Mountain State had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
