The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rogério Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Melo in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 minutes, Eusébio Melo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Itauninha's Rogério Favoretto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the game, Eusébio Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rogério Favoretto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind M4NIACOS's goalkeeper Dionísio Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Itauninha got a freekick which was hit by Remo Tepedino. Rogério Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Melo in the 24th minute of play. If Eusébio Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Eusébio Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When M4NIACOS's Eusébio Melo in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itauninha's goalie prevented a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrézinho Ortiz to make the kick off. Bruninho Secco's late challenge caught a Itauninha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruninho Secco helped the player get up and apologised. Bruninho Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Percy Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. M4NIACOS's Dionísio Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Ortiz in the 61st minute of play. After 63 played minutes M4NIACOS got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Quaresma. If Percy Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percy Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Favoretto was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Percy Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Favoretto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Percy Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. Eusébio Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rogério Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Favoretto having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded M4NIACOS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Itauninha.
