After a defensive mix-up in Cotia SC's zone, Percy Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Simão came out of the goal and Percy Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dionísio Abraão made a huge save. Percy Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Frank Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. M4NIACOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cotia SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, M4NIACOS's Dagoberto Paraense got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Giovanni Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cotia SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave M4NIACOS the free kick. Giovanni Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Laerte de Carvalho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frank Simão. Cotia SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cotia SC's Frank Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Melo in the 31st minute of play. Dionísio Abraão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Vidal in the 33rd minute. Percy Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Melo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Simão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute Patrick Pontes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 42 minutes, Bruninho Secco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the M4NIACOS and the Cotia SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes M4NIACOS got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Secco. When Percy Varela came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the M4NIACOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percy Varela couldn't finish the play.

With an all-out effort, M4NIACOS's Frank Simão threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusébio Melo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. M4NIACOS's Percy Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes M4NIACOS got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Secco. Percy Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Simão having to interfere. After 73 played minutes M4NIACOS got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Cabral. Conrado Moraes took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dionísio Abraão. Dionísio Abraão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The attack was good, but when Eusébio Melo in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Frank Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Melo in the 84th minute of the match. Eusébio Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. If Percy Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cotia SC were victorious despite being under pressure from M4NIACOS for much of the match.
